Natalie Wilson, working hard in Nepal

A qualified summer and winter mountain leader, as well as an experienced expedition leader, I have spent the past two decades guiding adventurous and remote journeys across the globe, as well as closer to home.

I am deeply interested in the stories, voices and meanings that lie within the landscapes I explore. For me, ‘place’ is not just a destination, but an opportunity to find insights, understanding and connection. This perspective has really shaped my approach to travel and has led me to develop a strong passion and skill for helping others build more thoughtful relationships with the natural world around them.

This has also led to me writing my first book, a non fiction book about the iconic Coast to Coast walk, from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in Yorkshire. This book has been in the making for a few years, and now, as the Coast to Coast path becomes a National Trail, I want to encourage more people to strengthen their connection to the landscape. In the book I share a treasure trove of historical insights, literary perspectives, field notes and personal reflections that bring the richness of this trail to life.

I have a first-class honours degree in English Language and Linguistics with Literature, and my writing and poetry has been featured in various publications.

I am available for talks and workshops about the outdoors, adventure travel and writing, and regularly runs navigation training sessions.
